White Sox supervisor Tony La Russa stated outfielder Adam Eaton is “improving” after leaving Wednesday’s video game with hamstring tightness.
According to La Russa, Eaton was “pretty sore” Wednesday after taking a base and going out a groundball vs. the Cardinals. He didn’t play Thursday’s series opener with Baltimore and runs out the lineup for Video game 1 of Saturday’s doubleheader.
La Russa stated Thursday the club will take care with Eaton, echoing those remarks Saturday. The White Sox wish to get him as much rest as they can to get him closer to complete strength.
“He’s probably 80, 85 percent, which is playable,” La Russa stated Saturday. “With a lot of season ahead, we’d like to get him to 100 [percent] if we can.”
