Wedding album found in ceiling of Warren business has been returned to family

WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. – A City Detroit guy connected to Regional 4 to assist him discover the owners of a wedding event album he discovered in the ceiling of a Warren organization.

Simply a day after the story aired the secret has actually been fixed. The wedding event album is now back where it belongs.

Mase Mikhail of West Bloomfield is an entrepreneur who discovered the album and wished to return it to its initial owners.

In the days prior to Christmas, Mase and his boy cleared out a shopping mall he just recently purchased and is seeking to rent on Schoenherr Roadway in Warren.

“We were putting new drop ceiling in and everything else and then when we lifted one of the drop ceiling, I’m like, ‘That’s weird to find that there,” Mase stated.


Lynn and George are the couple in the wedding event album. They were wed on March 14, 1970. The wedding event album remains in remarkably good condition considering it is half a century old and was left.

That album came from the moms and dads of Sarah Protas.

“When I first got the thing, I wasn’t going to get my hopes up and then I went onto Local 4 website and there’s my mom and dad. I sent it to my sister and said, ‘It’s not a joke. It was them,’” she stated.

The bride-to-be in the album, Protas’ mom, passed away 9 years earlier from Parkinson’s.

“It’s like having a piece of my mom back. It’s something to give to my daughter who never got to meet her. Something to pass on,” Protas stated.

The story got a lot attention that even the wedding event professional photographer connected to Mase.

“He was very happy that it was coming back to the owner, it’s a miracle,” Mase stated.
