Watch Brad Marchand score Bruins’ first goal on penalty shot

ENJOY: Marchand nets Bruins’ very first objective of season on charge shot initially appeared on NBC Sports Boston

Who besides Brad Marchand to start a conversation for the Boston Bruins?

The veteran Bruins forward scored the very first objective of Boston’s 2021-22 season Saturday night in uncommon style: on a charge shot.

Dallas Stars defenseman Ryan Suter offered Marchand the chance with a charge on Marchand’s late-first-period breakaway, and the 33-year-old took complete benefit, beating goaltender Braden Holtby with a fast wrister to open the scoring.

Marchand now is an outstanding 5 for 8 on charge shots in his 13-year NHL profession.

After taping 29 objectives last season for his seventh straight project of a minimum of 20 objectives, Marchand currently has his eye on 8 directly.
