US Marshals, Texas police arrest suspect in killing of North Little Rock 13-year-old

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — North Little Rock authorities state a teenager linked to the March killing of a 13-year-old lady was apprehended by regional and federal officers in Texas Thursday early morning.

Officers with the Arlington Authorities Department and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Job Force apprehended Tahmarcus Deshon Stewart, 17, on a warrant for first-degree murder.

Stewart was desired in connection with the killing of Arianna Staggers in the 1000 block of Healy Street on March 29, 2021.

Authorities with the North Little Rock Authorities Department stated they got details Stewart was concealing in an apartment building in Arlington and after that instantly gotten in touch with regional authorities, who put together a group to take him into custody.

Authorities stated that Stewart will be extradited back to Arkansas within the next week. The examination, in this case, is continuous.
