‘This lion still got the hunger in him’
Khama Worthy’s UFC run has actually pertained to an end.
After a hot start to his octagon period, Deserving (16-9 MIXED MARTIAL ARTS, 2-3 UFC) was dropped in 3 straight bouts, causing his release from the promo. The 35-year-old revealed the news on Instagram and stated he’s refrained from doing yet.
“I just got word from my management team that I’ve been cut from the UFC.
I just wanted to thank the @ufc and @danawhite for the amazing opportunity!
@iridiumsportsagency and my man @jasonkhouse you guy’s helped me change my life and I can’t thank you enough for that. To of my loyal fans in Pittsburgh and all over the word, I thank you so much for all the support and love🙏🏾.
One door closes and another one opens, this lion still got the huger in him🦁 back on the hunt we go!! #teamdeathstar #positivevibesonly💯”
Deserving started his UFC run with a huge upset TKO of Devonte Smith at UFC 241, which made him a “Performance of the Night” perk. He then got a third-round submission of Luis Pena, however was unable to keep that momentum going.
In his 3rd octagon look, Deserving was visited Ottman Azaitar in the preliminary, followed by 2 more Round 1 knockout losses to Jamie Mullarkey and, most just recently, Jai Herbert at UFC Battle Night 196 on Oct. 23.
