The next World of Warcraft book explores Kalimdor

Blizzard has built up a surprising library around World of Warcraft, with books and novels covering nearly every facet of the world. The next book is called Exploring Azeroth: Kalimdor, and will be available for purchase on Oct. 15, 2021, according to its Amazon listing.

The first Exploring Azeroth book explored the Eastern Kingdoms, and was written by Christie Golden. The text itself was written in-character by Flynn Fairwind and Matthias Shaw, a pirate and a spy, as they traveled around the continent. The book had a lot of fluff and personal details as the two men, who are in a relationship, traveled around the human and elven kingdoms. It also hinted at potential future lore, as the characters discussed topics like the missing crown of King Terenas, or the weakened Night Watch in Duskwood.

It’s not clear who the narrator of Exploring Azeroth: Kalimdor will be, but there are a few Horde related candidates who could take the role, like the hunter Rexxar, or the new character Zekhan. We could also see a night elf like Elise Starseeker, since Kalimdor is the historical stronghold of the night elves and their former empire.
