CHICAGO (CBS) — An 18-year-old guy has actually been charged in connection with the shooting death of a 53-year-old guy previously today in the Humboldt Park area, and the carjacking of a 36-year-old lady recently in Ukrainian Town.
Authorities stated Taevon Abston was apprehended soon after midnight Wednesday on the 100 block of North Laramie Opportunity, after officers found him entering into a lorry that was taken in a carjacking on Feb. 4.

At the time of that carjacking, authorities stated a 36-year-old lady was being in her parked 2018 Toyota Rav 4, in the 2000 block of West Augusta Boulevard, when a male left the guest side of a Toyota Camry with a weapon. The guy required the lady leave her cars and truck. She did and the culprit got away the scene in her lorry.

Authorities stated, in addition to that carjacking, Abston has actually been charged in the shooting death of 53-year-old Guillermo Quiles, who was discovered with a gunshot injury to the head around 5:45 a.m. Tuesday on the 700 block of North Trumbull Opportunity.
He was bought held without bond Friday afternoon on one count of first-degree murder, one count of intensified automobile hijacking, one count of intensified illegal usage of a weapon, one count of tried heist, and 2 counts of heist. Abston is due back in court on Tuesday.
