This week has already been a pretty big one for Xbox fans when it comes to JRPGs as titles like Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Monster Hunter Rise have all landed on the gaming platform for the first time. And while Microsoft has made clear in the past that it wants to keep bringing other Japanese games to Xbox hardware, it looks like this pursuit will be continuing later in 2023. According to one Nick Baker, who has had a number of scoops related to Xbox in the past, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will be coming to Xbox at some point in the future. Baker, who shared this information in the latest episode of the Xb...

New Xbox Controller Comes with Extra Feature

A new Xbox Series X|S controller was revealed this week, one that comes with many of the expected features seen commonly in premium controllers. This one, however, has one extra component that's not really been seen anywhere else. The controller comes from Asus and is called the ROG Raikiri Pro, and unlike its competitors, it's got a built-in OLED display right in the center of the controller that users can utilize to display animations and helpful info about their device.Revealed during CES 2023, the new Asus controller is designed to work for the Xbox Series X|S consoles but can also work on the PC platform. New Microsoft Patent Has Xbox Series X Fans Worried About the Future

A new Microsoft patent has some Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S users worried about the future of gaming on both Xbox consoles. The patent in question is dubbed "Providing Personalized Content for Unintrusive Online Gaming Experience." What does "Personalized Content" mean? Well, in this instance it means ads. That's right, Microsoft has been exploring how to provide personalized ads in games. How exactly the data would be collected to provide this experience, and how it would work with games where ad placement isn't seemingly possible, we don't know. The patent doesn't go into either of these things in detail, but it does provide some examples including billboards in a driving game or the ad board that lines a soccer field.  You could imagine in a game like GTA 6 this ...

Are You Enjoying ‘High On Life’ On Xbox Game Pass?

I'm only a short way in, but here are my thoughts so far...I understand why the PureXbox reviewer found the constant chat (and the nature of it) annoying.But... you can reduce the amount of chat in the settings. As for the (lack of difficulty) and the gunplay... Well, it's not for everybody. It's definitely an easygoing, casual, chillout, shooter (does seem designed for stoners!)... not for hardcore CoD enthusiasts. That will be good for some and not for others.Haven't run into any glitches or performance issues yet.Not an amazing game so far, but ok-ish... will give it a bit more time to see if I stick with it or ditch it.dgpConsent.can('targeting',function () { !function(f,b,e,v,n,t,s) {if(f.fbq)return;n=f.fbq=function(){n.callMethod?n.callMethod.apply(n,arguments):n.queue.push(argumen...

Popular Xbox One Horror Game Now Only $2 for Limited Time

A popular horror game on Xbox One, which at one point was a console exclusive for the Xbox machine, is only $2 for a limited thanks to an 80 percent discount that knocks it down from its usual $10 price point. In other words, the game is never very expensive, but $10 is still substantially more than $2 in terms of percentage. $2 is essentially the price of a candy bar and thus it's hard to get video games at this price, let alone good ones. As for the game, it's Oxenfree, which is on sale for three more days at the moment of publishing and which has a sequel on the way, meaning now is a good time to check it out.Developed and published by Night School Studio -- which is now owned by Netflix -- Oxenfree debuted back in 2016 and surprised many when it was released on Jan...

PS5 and Xbox Series X Owners Get Stealth Release, Free for Some

PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners were surprised with a new stealth release today, and it's free for some users. The Nintendo Switch usually has a monopoly on stealth releases, but more developers and publishers are starting to deploy the same tactic on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, especially when the game is already available on PS4 and Xbox One. The latest example of this is Endling: Extinction s Forever, which was randomly dropped on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S today. And if you own the game on PS4 or Xbox One, it's free.Developed by Herobeat Studios and published by HandyGames, Endling: Extinction is Forever is a side-scrolling survival adventure game that debuted back on July 19 with Metacritic scores ranging from 75 to 82, depending on the platform. If you don't already own...

Xbox Game Pass Reveals 10 New Games for November 2022

It's now officially November and to kick off the month Microsoft has today revealed the new lineup of games that will be joining Xbox Game Pass in the coming weeks. Per usual, Microsoft has only outlined the titles joining Game Pass through the first half of the month, while the latter half's additions will be unveiled at a later date. And despite only seeing one half of what November will have in store, it already looks like a great month to be a Game Pass subscriber. In total, 10 new games will be landing on Xbox Game Pass beginning today and extending until November 15th. As of today, three of the service's new additions have dropped, with one more title set to come about before the end of the week. Best of all, this slate also includes some new "Day One" additions ...

New Xbox Feature Is Great for Xbox Game Pass Subscribers

A new Xbox feature across Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X  is great for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. With Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate growing in popularity, it's important that Microsoft start improving some of the minor issues with the subscription service. For example, subscribers have been calling for more transparency about how long games are available via the subscription service. Unfortunately, there's still no word of this being improved. That said, a similarly minor, but annoying issue is being resolved. Microsoft is set to make it easier to tell what games in your library and dashboard can and can't be played by introducing two new badges that will provide information to the players on what is required to play said game. In other words...
