Steubenville Council business curtailed due to absences | News, Sports, Jobs
STEUBENVILLE — City Council streamlined its agenda Tuesday due to the absence of three of its members.
A safety committee meeting they’d scheduled prior to their business meeting had to be canceled because of only one member, Councilman Royal Mayo, was present. The charter requires two committee members to be in attendance.
Fire Chief Carlo Capaldi had been slated to discuss emergency plans as well as roof work that must be done on fire stations.
“We do have an emergency operation plan, I looked through it,” he said. “It needs updating, but there is one. The other thing was some station improvement stuff.”
