Not long after a new wildfire was discovered burning just south of Vernon on Friday afternoon, a second was found in the North Okanagan. The Vlem Creek wildfire is located around nine km directly east of Armstrong and is located in rugged terrain just north of Silver Star Provincial Park. Enderby, B.C. church receives $600k in grant funding for renovations – Okanagan

St. Mary’s Church in Enderby, B.C., has received $600,000 in funding for renovation and relocation. The original St. Mary’s Church was struck by lightning and burned to the ground in 1916. New wildfires in Kamloops Fire Centre, including 2 in North Okanagan

Police in Vernon are hoping to speak to a Good Samaritan who helped at a suspicious residential fire last week.
