NEW YORK (AP) — Devin Williams struck out Starling Marte to strand the bases loaded in the ninth inning and the Milwaukee Brewers hung on for a 3-2 victory over the Mets on Thursday night, dropping New York a season-high nine games under .500 at the halfway point. The $355 million Mets are 36-45 and have lost 18 of 24. From staff reports A sixth-run fifth inning in the first game of Saturday’s MAC Freedom doubleheader with DeSales University helped propel the Lycoming College baseball team to a 9-5 win in its first home game in 52 years at Bowman Field. DeSales was able to hold on for an 8-4 win in the second game. Down 5-0 heading into the fourth inning of the first game, the Warrior rally started when freshman Nick Hoheb led off with a walk, setting up a triple off the base of the left field wall from sophomore Jake Schilling. Freshman Kai Foster walked and a sac fly by first-year Zachary Pleska drove in Schilling.
