Canadian support for climate change initiatives lags ahead of COP27: Ipsos – National

Ahead of the COP27 forum, Canada appears to rank near the bottom of 34 countries when it comes to public support for measures to help tackle climate change, a new poll suggests. Inflation, interest rates, recession? Poll finds these Canadians are worrying the most – National

The most vulnerable Canadians are more likely to be worried about feeding their families as high inflation and interest rates take their toll, new polling shows, while fears of a recession threaten to compound the rising cost of living. While headline inflation has abated in recent months, Ipsos polling conducted exclusively for Global News shows that 84 per cent of Canadians are still worried that inflation will make everyday things less affordable, just one percentage point lower than the survey conducted in June.
