Stardew Valley creator announces his next game, Haunted Chocolatier

Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone, the designer behind the enormously effective farming simulator, Stardew Valley revealed his next video game through his YouTube channel on Thursday.

The video game is called Haunted Chocolatier, and from the appearances of it, it will enable you to run a huge chocolate factory. The stream revealed a character strolling through a set of double doors towards a mountain, checking out woods, and after that teased a clip of store that utilizes a ghost as a cashier. Although the video game looks looks extremely comparable to Stardew Valley, the developer clarified in a Tweet that Haunted Chocolatier is its own different video game (and not an upgrade to Stardew).

Stardew Valley follows a character who inherits a plot of land and quits their office job to pursue farming. Although the video game largely involves planting and growing crops, it has a big world where you mine, fish, and even date and marry the local townspeople.

Since its initial release in 2016, Stardew Valley has undergone a series of significant updates that added new crops, new islands to explore, as well as features like local multiplayer. The video game has an avid modding community behind it, and has even inspired a board video game.
