Shazam 2 trailer: Watch Fury of the Gods’ new FanDome footage

Shazam (the superhero, that is) went back to DC FanDome this weekend to flaunt a behind-the-scenes take a look at the next installation of the household-friendly, family superhero franchise: Shazam! Fury of the Gods.

Casts Zachary Levi and Asher Angel — who together play Billy Batson in his superhero and kid identities — presented the video footage, handled set throughout the production’s 2021 shoot. Signing up with the cast are a set of brand-new bad guys, the children of Atlas, played by Rachel Zegler (West Side Story), Helen Mirren (Quick & Furious Provides: Hobbs & Shaw), and Lucy Liu (Eliminate Costs).

The video footage included great deals of shots of the Shazam household in their brand name brand-new outfits, along with the film’s brand-new bad guys, ancient goddesses played by Liu and Mirren. Cast and team guaranteed minotaurs, shrews, and dragons, sees to places from Athens and to the world of the gods, and lots of auto accident, surges, and even a little teen love.

Much of the core cast of Shazam! is back for Shazam! Fury of the Gods, consisting of Jack Dylan Grazer and Adam Brody as Freddy Freeman — along with the remainder of the kid actor/adult sets who played Billy’s foster brother or sisters and their super-powered versions (other than for Grace Fulton, Billy’s earliest sibling, who is playing her own superhero self this time around).

Director David F. Sandberg currently exposed a set of brand-new outfits for the entire Shazam-ily on Twitter in June.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods strikes theaters on June 2, 2023.
