‘Sex and the City’ is coming back — without Samantha

Cynthia Nixon, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis will reprise their roles in the reboot, due to start filming in the spring.
Entitled “And Just Like That…”, the reboot will star 3 of the 4 initial leads of the hit ’90s program, with Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis set to repeat the functions of Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte.
Kim Cattrall, who starred as Samantha in the initial program, will not return for the restarted series, which will be executive-produced by Parker, Davis, Nixon and Michael Patrick King.

Explained by HBO Max as a “new chapter” of the hit ’90s and ’00s program, the 10-episode series will follow Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they browse their life in their 50s, and is set up to start production in New york city in spring.

The program was green-lit by HBO Max, WarnerMedia’s streaming service, released in 2015. WarnerMedia is the moms and dad business of CNN.
Stars Parker, Nixon and Davis all teased a trailer for the brand-new series to their Instagram pages, though the sneak peek, which included shots of New york city City together with the text “And just like that… the story continues…” offered little information about possible plot for the ladies.

Based upon the book by Candace Bushnell, the groundbreaking HBO series about 4 good friends residing in New york city City premiered on HBO on June 6, 1998 and ran up until 2004. Subsequent films were launched in 2008 and 2010.
