Pixar’s Turning Red trailer is full of giant red panda transformations
Pixar’s Reddening stars an overachieving and passionate intermediate school lady called Mei who is very delighted for the approaching academic year — up until she all of a sudden changes into a huge red panda in the middle of the night and finds her household’s little peculiarity. Whenever she tingles or overloaded, she becomes the huge, fluffy animal.
A brand-new trailer for the film reveals Mei’s very first change, her worried mom’s response, and her giddy schoolmates — and it’s all set to *NSYNC’s “It’s Gonna be Me.” (It’s gonna be Maaayyyyy~ Get it? Since her name is Mei?)
Reddening is the function directorial launching of Domee Shi, who formerly directed the Pixar brief Bao. It stars beginner Rosalie Chiang as Mei, with Sandra Oh as Mei’s overprotective mom. The film was initially revealed at Disney’s Financier Day a year back, along with Lightyear, the film about the “real Buzz Lightyear.”
Reddening strikes theaters on March 11, 2022.
