Pair honored for lifesaving effort at Hutchinson car dealership

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A guy and a lady got acknowledgment and an award Thursday afternoon for their functions in conserving another guy’s life in October at the Midwest Warehouse store automobile dealer in Hutchinson.

Tim Herman was at the dealer when he entered into heart attack. Somebody called 911, however Herman required assistance right away. Greg Flores, a worker at Midwest Warehouse store, and Britnea Weaver, a nurse who occurred to be at the dealer, leapt in and carried out CPR.

The deputy chief of Reno County EMS states Herman lives today, thanks to the fast action from Flores and Weaver, along with the Hutchinson Fire Department and EMS. Flores and Weaver stated what occurred on the day of the medical emergency situation.

“[Herman’s] in the back of a Tundra (pickup), which is a really big space, so I jumped n there and started giving him chest compressions because I knew there was nothing else that was going to happen because he [had] no heartbeat, nothing happening, he was blue.”

Weaver explained the experience of assisting to conserve Herman’s life as “the fest feeling in the world,”

Weaver and Flores got The People Lifesaving Award from Reno County EMS and the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. The EMS teams and members of the Hutchinson Fire Department were likewise on hand.
