CD Projekt Red have announced that the new update will come to the Switch soon.

A free next-gen update is coming to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on December 14 2022. This includes some new DLC content inspired from the Netflix show. However, whilst we’re sure of this release for PlayStation 5, PC, or Xbox Series S/X, the Nintendo Switch doesn’t have a release date as of yet.
So, this free next-gen update will be coming to you on December 14th, but we’re still waiting for an announcement for when the Nintendo Switch is likely to get one. These, CD Projekt Red says “will be announced soon”. For now, we wait.

Will Nintendo Switch get the Witcher 3 next gen update?
The release date for older generations of consoles like the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch are yet to be announced. However, it has been confirmed that these updates will go ahead for older generations aswell. This brings up interesting debate about next gen gear, and whether developments like is the PSVR to PSVR 2 upgrade is worth it, or is it a waste of time.
What the Nintendo Switch will not receive is the same as the rest of the older generations; due to system requirements and limitations to these older consoles, the Switch will only recieve the Netflix-inspired DLC and not the extra updates to gameplay and visuals that next-gen consoles will.
