New Mass Effect teaser poster for N7 Day hints at return of the geth

BioWare’s yearly N7 Day, an event of all things Mass Impact, arrived at Sunday, and while the occasion itself was rather peaceful, the designer used a brand-new tease about the next video game in its sci-fi legend. In a teaser poster, we get a take a look at the ship and team of the brand-new Mass Impact, and a not-so-subtle tip that the geth will return in BioWare’s still-undated follow up.

Beyond the apparent tagline (“Mass Effect will continue” — yeah, we understand!), the poster uses a bird’s eye view of a four-person team, among which absolutely appears krogan-shaped. There’s likewise what seems a damaged geth on the ground, and scarred surface that’s undoubtedly the shape of a geth head. That would definitely mean the return of the AI race, which were missing from the most current video game in the franchise, 2017’s Mass Impact Andromeda.

The ship itself likewise seems brand-new — and not the so-called Mudskipper displayed in a previous teaser — and the effect crater that made the geth shape appears have actually been a severe landing for … something that the geth themselves might have been examining.

BioWare itself used little assistance on what the teaser suggests. In an N7 Day post, the designer stated, “We are, of course, hard at work on the next adventure in the Mass Effect universe. Until then, please accept our most humble thanks to you for accompanying us on this journey.”

The brand-new Mass Impact was formally validated to be in advancement this time in 2015. Then-BioWare basic supervisor Casey Hudson stated, “a veteran team has been hard at work envisioning the next chapter of the Mass Effect universe,” which BioWare was “in early stages on the project.” Like the next Dragon Age video game, it’s nearly assuredly years far from release.
