Netflix releases first trailer for Yasuke, the new anime from MAPPA

Netflix is going huge into anime in 2021, and Yasuke is among its most awaited tasks. The globally produced anime generates skill from all over the world, and on Thursday, the streaming service lastly launched the program’s very first trailer.

The trailer is mainly concentrated on the background of the program’s titular hero. Yasuke is a famous Black samurai, and while that’s true in our world, the program is set elsewhere. The trailer rapidly makes it clear that its variation of feudal Japan has plenty of warriors who wield magic along with samurai swords. We get lots of takes a look at both the sword battling and the magic of the world, along with a couple of terrific minutes of Yasuke leading armies of his own to conserve Japan from an unidentified danger.

The something we don’t get much of a take a look at in the trailer is mechs, which Netflix’s advertising product keeps teasing as a fundamental part of the program. However there still need to be a couple of surprises for when it’s in fact launched.

Yasuke is produced by LeSean Thomas (Black Dynamite, The Boondocks) and animated by MAPPA, the studio behind programs like Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan Final Season. The series stars LaKeith Stanfield (Go Out, Atlanta, Sorry to Trouble You) in the title function, is directed by Takeshi Koike (Lupin the Third: The Lady Called Fujiko Mine), and has actually music produced by well-known artist and manufacturer Flying Lotus.

Yasuke is set to debut on Netflix on April 29.
