Live your best and healthiest life.
Do just that with the help of Kaley Metler thanks to KJ’s Transformation Fitness, which is hosting new opportunities for residents to get physical this month.
On Saturday, Sept. 17, the business will host a Move, Sip, Chomp event at the Carlisle Cider Company, located at 1453 Milburough Town Line, where participants will share in a workout experience and enjoy some cider. It runs from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
“We’ve done quite a few of these now,” said Metler, noting that the event includes a demonstration of a walk fit session or bootcamp, depending on participants’ preference.
“We like to show our different classes within the event,” said My Full Time Athlete’s Brittany Berezowski, who teams up with Metler for classes and events.
Metler has run her fitness business for seven years, with most of its classes taking place outdoors, embracing the benefits of being in nature. Wellness, she said, has always been her passion.
“I just think there’s always a need for this kind of workplace and being outdoors is a really key benefit to wellness, I believe.”
On Saturday, event-goers will have a chance to learn more about and sign up for an eight-week Breaking Free to Wellness program, which kicks off Sept. 19.
The COVID-19 pandemic has revealed just how important movement is to a person’s wellbeing.
“Over the pandemic many people have been staying home and working from home – lots of sedentary positions,” said Berezowski, adding programs and classes by the businesses offer an opportunity for residents to ease back into fitness.
“People are stressed right now. They’re a bit burnt out right now because they’re going back full steam, so people need an outlet,” said Metler.
KJ’s Transformation Fitness offerings are endless and available to anyone at any level.
“If you want to get more relaxed, we offer programs where you can just relax or if you want to just get social, we offer programs that can offer socializing, if you want to work on your own personal goals, we have personal training,” she said.
