Man accused of assaulting double amputee outside Jefferson County, Mo gas station | St. Louis News Headlines
BARNHART, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A male is dealing with charges after tossing a double amputee outside a gasoline station in Barnhart.
Robert Brooks III, of Home Springs, is charged with second-degree attack of an unique victim. Authorities state he attacked a 70-year-old double amputee outside a gasoline station on July 18. The occurrence was captured on security electronic camera.
According to charges, the senior guy faced Brooks after he observed he had actually parked in a handicap scheduled area without a handicap placard. The guy stated he needed to park his vehicle at the gas pump since Brooks remained in the handicap area.
Authorities stated as Brooks left the shop, the guy asked him if he had a handicap placard. Brooks blew up and chewed out the guy and stated, “Get the f— out of the way!” Brooks then got the guy and powerfully tossed him to the ground. His head struck the ground initially and after that struck the best side of his head on the concrete curb. Brooks left the location in his vehicle almost running the guy who was laying beside the front motorist wheel, cops stated.
The guy suffered bruising and swelling to the best side of his head.
Brooks is being kept in the Jefferson County Prison without bond.
