Gausman thanks Giants fans after finalizing with Toronto initially appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

Kevin Gausman leaves San Francisco after assembling among the most remarkable seasons from a Giants pitcher in years.

Formally signing a five-year, $110 million offer with the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday, Gausman leaves a big hole in the Giants rotation. He discussed his choice to sign with Toronto on a Zoom interview with press reporters prior to thanking Giants fans on Twitter Thursday afternoon.

Signing as a free-agent with the Giants prior to the 2020 season, Gausman published a 14-6 record with a 2.81 age in 192.0 innings pitched with 227 strikeouts in 2021, playing a big function in San Francisco’s record-setting 107-win season.

This offseason the Giants have actually signed free-agent pitchers Anthony DeSclafani, Alex Wood and most just recently, Alex Cobb as they want to complete their rotation.
