Kevin Gausman among Blue Jays’ free-agent targets

Report: Gausman amongst Blue Jays’ free-agent targets initially appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

The MLB offseason is underway, and the Giants will be extremely hectic in the coming days, weeks and months. 

With a lot of free-agents of their own set to strike the free market, president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi and basic supervisor Scott Harris have a great deal of work to do if they wish to keep a comparable level of success next season.

Among the concerns for San Francisco this offseason is the beginning rotation. Beginning pitcher Kevin Gausman had a profession year with the Giants in 2021 and is currently getting interest in the free-agent market. 

The Blue Jays, who just recently extended starter José Berríos, are aiming to contribute to a rotation that currently consists of Hyun Jin Ryu and previous leading possibility Alek Manoah. 

Gausman’s outstanding 2021 season (14-6, 192.0 IP, 227 Ks, 2.81 AGE) in which he ended up sixth in NL Cy Young award ballot, will permit him to be among the most extremely searched for free-agent beginners.

The Giants will definitely have interest in re-signing Gausman, however it does not appear that they will be alone.
