John Wick 4 release date pushed to 2023
John Wick: Chapter 4 will be a little late. The 4th chapter in Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski’s action franchise will now strike cinema on March 24, 2023, Lionsgate revealed in a YouTube video released Wednesday.
That’s a 10-month hold-up for the 4th John Wick film. Chapter 4 was formerly slated for release on Might 27, 2022 — which wanted a previous yearlong hold-up for the movie. Its initial release date was Might 21, 2021, the very same day The Matrix Resurrections was initially expected to get here, prior to COVID-19 screwed up actually whatever. (In an obvious nod to all that Keanu film release date shenanigans, John Wick: Chapter 4’s newest teaser includes a T. Anderson being eliminated from the bounties board, relatively a referral to Keanu’s in-Matrix personality.) Now that The Matrix Resurrections is out, it’s likewise time to get an upgrade on the Baba Yaga’s next actions, obviously.
The most recent John Wick: Chapter 4 teaser doesn’t provide much beyond the brand-new date: It’s made up of video footage of Administrators and Operators running documents for the High Table, and it ends on cherry bloom petals tipping over the words “Be seeing you.”
John Wick: Chapter 4 was revealed the weekend John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum struck cinema back in 2019, and when that movie set a brand-new box-office record for the franchise. John Wick 3 ended on something of a cliffhanger, with a seriously hurt Wick recuperating in the care of the Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne) after being assassinated by Winston (Ian McShane) on the roofing system of the Continental. The 3rd chapter’s last minutes establishes Wick’s vengeance versus The High Table, the strange company that supervises assassins in his assassin-dominated world.
