Here’s a simplified, point-wise eligibility criteria for each post:
Draftsman: 10+2 with Science subjects from a recognized board. Two years Certificate in Architecture/ Draughtsmanship or equivalent, OR National Trade Certificate in Draughtsman (Civil) with one year of practical experience.
Supervisor Administration: Degree from a recognized university or equivalent. National Cadet Corps ‘B’ Certificate or equivalent from the Army, Navy, or Air Force.
Turner: Turner Certificate from ITI/NCTVT or Defence Trade Certificate with one year of experience, OR Passed Class II Course for Turner as per Defence Service Regulations.
Machinist: Matriculation from a recognized board or equivalent. Machinist Certificate from ITI or equivalent, OR Defence Trade Certificate with one year of experience.
Driver (Mechanical Transport): Matriculation from a recognized board or equivalent. Heavy motor vehicle driving license, OR Passed Class III Course for Driver as per Defence Service Regulations.
Driver (Road Roller): Matriculation from a recognized board or equivalent.
Operator Excavating Machinery: Matriculation from a recognized board or equivalent.
Age Limit Details: The age limit for the various posts in this recruitment ranges from 18 to 27 years, depending on the position. However, age relaxations are provided for specific categories. For example, government servants, ex-servicemen, and candidates from SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories can avail of age relaxations as per central government rules. The maximum age limit may be relaxed up to 40 years for general candidates in government service and up to 45 years for SC/ST candidates. The exact age requirements for each post are specified in the advertisement.
The selection process for GREF recruitment follows a step-by-step procedure:
- Call Letter Issuance: At least 10 times the number of vacancies will be called for each category based on the applications received.
- Written Exam: Candidates must pass a written exam (objective and/or subjective), with a minimum passing percentage of 50% for UR, EWS, and OBC candidates, and 40% for SC/ST candidates.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who qualify the written exam will undergo a physical efficiency test. Only those who pass will proceed to the next stage.
- Practical/Trade Test: Candidates who pass the PET will take the practical or trade test, as applicable to the post.
- Medical Examination: Candidates must pass a medical examination conducted by the GREF/Army medical officers. The appointment is contingent on being medically fit.
- Document Verification: Original documents will be checked before the trade test. Candidates without the required documents will be disqualified.
- Final Merit List: The final selection is based on the merit list, taking into account the written exam, trade test, and medical fitness.
To apply for the post, candidates must fill the application form in English or Hindi and candidates must attach educational and professional qualification certificates, caste certificates (if applicable), domicile and residence certificates, birth proof, Aadhaar card, experience certificate (if any), and other relevant documents. . A self-addressed envelope must also be included. Original documents should not be sent.
The application must be submitted online with the required fee and candidates must fill the application form and send it through registered post to the Commandant, GREF Centre, Dighi Camp, Pune- 411 015 along with self-attested copies of the required documents. The application must reach the specified address by 30th December 2024.
Application Fee: The application fee for the recruitment process for candidates belonging to the General, OBC, EWS, and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) categories is ₹50. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories are exempted from paying the application fee. The fee has to be paid online and the payment receipt must be attached with the application form at the time of submission.
