‘He’s big time;’ LeBron James has high praise for former Duck’s star Chris Duarte

While much of the world was doing some last preparation for Thanksgiving on Thursday, completing their grocery shopping and taking a trip to their ultimate locations, the Los Angeles Lakers and Indiana Pacers were having it out on the wood.

That, obviously, is not something that we would usually be covering here at Ducks Wire, however previous Oregon Ducks’ star Chris Duarte provided us something to smile about. His heroics in the video game, where he played thirty minutes, scored 17 points, and made an unlikely three-pointer to send out the video game into overtime, were definitely worth speaking about. While football is on the minds of lots of on this Turkey Day, Duarte ensured that basketball got some airwaves also.

Someone who was definitely satisfied with Duarte is a guy who requires no intro. LeBron James was on the opposite of that OT-forcing shot from Duarte, and though the Lakers ultimately had the ultimate victory with a 124-116 triumph, King James ensured to offer the novice out of Oregon some love.

It’s been terrific to see Duarte get some love in the NBA up until now this year, and his function has actually grown with the Pacers to the point where it’s not a shock to see him have an opportunity to do things like this.

On this Thanksgiving Day, that’s something we are undoubtedly happy for.
