The SteamDB weekly global top sellers chart has been updated, and PlayStation has performed surprisingly well. The chart shows Sony titles taking up half of the games on the list, with God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition, Days Gone and Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered all making the list.
The top 10 chart includes the Steam Deck, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is listed twice due to it having different editions. So in total, four of the eight games on the chart are from PlayStation Studios. This is an impressive showing from PlayStation, seen as they only started their serious push for PC releases back in 2020 with Horizon Zero Dawn. You can see the full chart below, courtesy of SteamDB.
God of War ranks highest out of the PlayStation Studios titles on the chart at #6, likely in anticipation for the sequel, God of War Ragnarök, coming later this November. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered has taken a dip this week to #10, but it stood steady at #4 for the last three weeks. Hopefully this will incentivise Sony to bring the Miles Morales sequel to platform soon.
PlayStation has been getting increasingly more invested in the PC as a gaming platform. The official reveal of Uncharted being ported over to PC came earlier this week, with the Legacy of Thieves Collection coming in October. Further, Returnal was showcased at a Games Developers Conference presentation a few weeks ago and appears to be running on PC. In fact, PlayStation could even be preparing to bring the PlayStation Network online service to PC, according to some of the Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered files.
