Girlfriend of Memphis rapper Young Dolph speaks out about her grief

Mia Jaye, the mom of his child Aria and boy Tre Tre, revealed her sorrow in a series of posts shared on her Instagram Stories, a day after he was assassinated in a cookie shop in Memphis.

Sharing a video revealing the late hip hop star — whose genuine name was Adolph Robert Thornton Jr. — working out with their child, Jaye regreted in the caption: “Question is… How am I going to tell to my babies that daddy is never coming home? “#prayforme”

In another post, she declared her love for her partner, writing: “God offer me strength…Adolph I like you with all my body and soul.”

In a follow-up message, Jaye, who is CEO of lifestyle brand MOM.E.O, thanked well-wishers for their messages of support following the news of the 36-year-old star’s death.

“Thank you to everybody for all of your prayers, love, assistance, calls, messages… I might not see them all however when my eyes are not loaded with tears, I capture a couple of…,” Jaye wrote.

“Nevertheless, all the authentic favorable vibes, energy and prayers are welcome…due to the fact that Lord understands I require them.”

Since his death, many pictures and videos showing Young Dolph as a dedicated family man have been circulating online, including one video of him styling Aria’s hair.

The clip was originally posted by Jaye in August on her Instagram account, along with a caption that read: “Why Do Black Guy Deserve To Age?”

“Due To The Fact That it is their Bequest! When God developed each person, he designated them a job to satisfy and when these males are drawn from this world too soon, that Job… Function… Project might be left reversed,” Jaye’s post continued. “The job may be to raise kids. To put all of their knowledge, power and strength into them so that, they can satisfy their function when they end up being a Guy, which kid is worthy of to age too!”

On Thursday, Memphis police released surveillance photos of two suspects they believe killed Young Dolph. No arrests have been made.

“This shooting is another example of the ridiculous weapon violence we are experiencing in your area and nationwide. Our hearts head out to the Thornton household and all who are impacted by this dreadful act of violence,” Memphis Police Chief Cerelyn “CJ” Davis stated Wednesday.
