Elon University / Campus Health Status & Alerts

The physical and emotional health, safety and well-being of the campus community are Elon’s highest priorities. This page provides current health status information along with timely alerts about health concerns of importance to the community.

The university’s Infectious Disease Response Team is responsible for monitoring university and community health data, establishing relationships with state and local public health officials, and being readily available for quick mobilization and deployment in case of outbreaks. The activities and scope of the team, and its membership are listed below.

During the Fall 2022 semester, we are continuing to monitor and educate the Elon community about two significant community health concerns – COVID-19 and monkeypox. This site will be regularly updated with information, and community health messages will be sent to the university on a weekly basis by the Vice President for Student Life.

For questions, please contact the co-chairs of the Infectious Disease Response Team, Dr. Ginette Archinal or Dr. Jana Lynn Patterson.
