Donna man says Alamo Police confiscated wife’s mobility cart

A Donna male stated Alamo Cops seized his spouse’s movement cart after buying the product from a male on Facebook. 

Felix Daniel Garcia stated he was looking for a movement cart for his spouse following current foot surgical treatment.

Garcia stated he discovered a male offering one on Facebook, and on March 14, a monitoring video reveals him leaving Jesus Peña’s organization with the cart in the bed of his truck. 

The next day, while running an errand in Alamo, Garcia stated a law enforcement officer pulled him over and seized the cart. 

“He said, ‘I have to take the cart because you don’t have anything to prove that you bought it and it looks like the ones at HEB,’” Garcia stated. 

He stated the law enforcement officer informed him Alamo PD would return the cart as soon as he might reveal evidence that he purchased it. 

Garcia stated he went back to business where Peña gave him a proof of sale and discussed that movement carts his business offered originated from auctions from various shops, consisting of HEB. 

Nevertheless, when Garcia went to the police headquarters with the evidence of purchase, he stated the cops notified him he wouldn’t get the cart back right now. 

Alamo Cops Chief Richard Ozuna stated officers were dealing with validating that the cart was bought and not taken however that the procedure spent some time.
