Conor McGregor, Rafael dos Anjos separated backstage after heated moment

The UFC go back to pay-per-view this Saturday with UFC 264, which indicates the popular “Embedded” battle week series is back, too.

UFC 264 takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main card streams live on ESPN + pay-per-view, with prelims on ESPN and early prelims on ESPN+.

The main event features what might be the most anticipated battle of the year as Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor will settle their score with a trilogy fight. It was McGregor (22-5 MMA, 10-3 UFC) who finished Poirier (27-6 MMA, 19-5 UFC) in their featherweight bout in September 2014, but Poirier knocked out McGregor in their lightweight rematch this past January at UFC 257. They’ll meet at 155 pounds in their third matchup this weekend.

The UFC 264 co-primary event includes a welterweight showdown with title implications as Gilbert Burns (19-4 MMA, 12-4 UFC), No. 3 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie 170-pound rankings, takes on No. 4 Stephen Thompson (16-4-1 MMA, 11-4-1 UFC).

The sixth and ff episode of “Embedded” follows the featured competitors during battle week. Here’s the description from YouTube:

“Fans return to T-Mobile en masse for the heated UFC 264 presser with Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier and Dana White. Gilbert Burns and Stephen Thompson cut weight in time for Friday morning. The arena is packed again later for the ceremonial weigh-ins.”
