celebration of life held for girl who touched hearts on St. George Island

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A day of event for the 13-year-old woman who won over the hearts of thousands, consisting of lots of in our location, occurred Monday.

Israelle “Izzy” Mattocks current gone to St. George Island for a dream trip. Izzy passed away April 1 after fighting cancer for more than 9 years.

Monday, loved ones event to honor Izzy, who enjoyed animals. Her faith was unwavering regardless of whatever she was going through.

At the event of life, Izzy’s friend shared their last discussion.

“One of the last things Izzy told me was, ‘we are always going to be best friends, but things are going to look a little different when I am gone.’ Those words will stay with me for the rest of my life. I wish she was still here, but I am so glad she is finally at peace,” Izzy’s buddy stated.

Izzy will be kept in mind in an unique method. The regional human society considered April 7 “Izzy Mattocks Day, and the one closest to Izzy’s household in Indiana will have a plaque on their structure in her honor.
