CDC and ACIP hold emergency meeting regarding COVID-19 vaccine | USA TODAY
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) holds an emergency virtual meeting following the authorization of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine in the U.S. on Friday.
Several states are now adding far more coronavirus cases daily than the entirety of the European Union. Deaths in Florida, Arizona and Texas have been edging upward since late June.
The U.S. has seen almost 15 million confirmed cases and more than 290,000 deaths, according to John Hopkins University data.
