A woman who encouraged her daughter to punch another player during a youth basketball tournament in Orange County last November was ordered to pay more than $9,000 in restitution and issue an apology, according to multiple reports. The perpetrator was the daughter of former NBA player Corey Benjamin. Soon after the incident, Benjamin apologized on behalf of his teenage daughter. The ex-Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks guard told NBC LA "this is not how I raised my daughter." Benjamin's daughter struck an unsuspecting Lauryn Ham with a vicious left hook seconds after taking a three-point shot.
