The West Valley is constantly growing, and restaurants, businesses and homemakers are choosing to flock here to continue to open their doors to the thousands of people that call it home. This week, the Business Briefcase is breaking down a popular gym chain expanding its footprint in the West Valley, as well as a business center that recently broke ground in Goodyear.

Planet Fitness

Location: 409 N. Litchfield Road, Goodyear

Planet Fitness representatives and local officials recently cut the ribbon on the fitness center’s latest Arizona location in Goodyear.

The new 17,500-square-foot club features a variety of cardio machines and strength equipment, 30-Minute Express Circuit, a Cardio Theater filled with flat-screen TVs, fully equipped locker rooms with day lockers and showers, Black Card Spa (for Planet Fitness Black Card members) including HydroMassage loungers, tanning beds and massage chairs, among other amenities.

The Classic Membership for Planet Fitness costs $10 per month and grants members unlimited access to the club and free Wi-Fi. The Black Card runs $24.99 per month.

Prologis 303 Business Park

Location: TBD, minutes from Loop 303, I-10 and State Highway 85

Prologis, a leader in logistics real estate and sustainable development, will invest approximately $190 million to build the 1.2 million-square-foot park. The park’s two modern facilities will be designed to provide operating efficiencies through sustainable features, including LED warehouse lighting, LEED certification and solar ready.

The park, which will create significant local employment, will be ideally located to support e-commerce and distribution companies with operations in Arizona and key markets in the western United States, including Northern California, Ports of Long Beach, New Mexico, Utah and Nevada.

Prologis has had a presence in Arizona for nearly 40 years, with an office in Phoenix that’s home to 27 employees. Its modern logistics facilities help 175 customers operating across Arizona deliver their products and grow their business.

Construction of Prologis 303 Business Park is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2024.
