BAFTA 2021 nominations announced – CNN

In 2015’s elections were greatly slammed for their absence of variety — everyone shortlisted for a 2020 acting award was White, while the absence of gender variety amongst candidates was likewise plain.
BAFTA revealed in September some 120 “wide-ranging changes” to deal with an absence of variety in the awards, consisting of modifications to its subscription and ballot procedure. The modifications, hailed by chair Krishnendu Majumdar as “a watershed moment” in the academy’s history, followed a seven-month evaluation following the absence of variety in in 2015’s elections.

BAFTA winners awards will be revealed on Sunday, April 11.
