April 2021 PlayStation State of Play livestream stars Ratchet & Clank

PlayStation will host a brand-new State of Play livestream on Thursday, April 29, Sony revealed in a post on Monday. Fans can enjoy along on PlayStation’s Twitch or YouTube channel at 5 p.m. EDT.

The brand-new State of Play will concentrate on Cog & Clank, displaying more than 15 minutes of gameplay from the upcoming Cog & Clank: Rift Apart, which releases June 11. Sony simply released a brief gameplay trailer about Rivet, the character formerly just called “female Lombax.” Rivet might be a Lombax, like Cog, however she’s from an alternate measurement. She is a playable character in Rift Apart, along with the series’ titular heroes.

While Cog & Clank are the focus of this State of Play, we might see more information for upcoming PlayStation video games too. Fans still haven’t seen much from Sony Santa Monica’s God of War sequel since its announcement trailer last year, for starters.

Housemarque’s Returnal also launches a day after the new State of Play, so it may make an appearance as well. And a number of other PlayStation titles might get a mention at this State of Play, like Horizon Forbidden West, GhostWire: Tokyo, or the imminent Resident Evil Village.

Sony will likely reveal more information about the brand-new State of Play closer to the virtual occasion.
